I love great food and there are 1000’s of small artisan producers out there.

As a farmer and Rare Breed meat producer I hope to shed some light on how these products are made  and how the decisions we make in our businesses impact on the integrity of our products.

Clever marketing can give the impression of an artisan product that is in fact produced in exactly the same way as standard supermarket fayre. 

After all if your paying a premium, you expect to get something extra.

This blog will provide you with the knowledge and tools to see the good from the bad and help you find your way through the jungle of local producers springing up.

All opinions will be mine alone and you can make up your own mind on their validity based on the content of this blog.
